Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Colliers Wood - Southwest London
Salary: Between £95 and £110 per day
What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who are ready to take on additional responsibilities, including covering classes and assisting with planning and teaching lessons. Responsibilities of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in the absence of the teacher
- Assisting pupils in their learning and helping prepare the classroom
- Coordinating group activities with various groups of pupils
- Working in accordance with the school''s policies
- Providing frequent feedback to both parents and other members of staff
- Demonstrate a minimum of six months of hands-on experience working with children in an educational setting
- Hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safeguarding
- Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom, with appropriate documentation
- Demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills, highlighting the skill to engage with students of varied learning needs
- Capable of collaborating effectively within a team, cultivating an inclusive learning environment
