Mechanical Project Engineer - Water Industry Location: Hybrid / Site Based - South East Rate: Circa 450 p/d Ltd or CIS The Role: We''re currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in the front end of project delivery. You''ll play a key part in shaping projects before they reach construction, working closely with operations, design teams and clients to define the most practical, cost-effective engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment sites. Duties: Working across clean and wastewater treatment sites, you''ll be responsible for: Carrying out mechanical site surveys and asset condition assessments. Developing project scopes and engineering solutions. Producing feasibility studies and optioneering reports. Defining mechanical equipment replacements and upgrade strategies. Supporting outline and detailed design teams with practical engineering input. Preparing budgets, estimates and technical scopes for tender. Working alongside commercial and delivery teams during pre-construction. Providing technical support throughout construction and commissioning. Liaising with water company clients, operations teams and subcontractors. Ensuring solutions comply with client standards and current legislation.
