Job DescriptionAbout the companyOur client is a leading developer and asset manager operating across multiple asset classes with a strong track record spanning over 25 years. They are one of the UK''s largest privately owned property investment and development firms, having completed some of the largest and most complex UK property deals, building a £9 billion portfolio.Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented individual who is recently qualified or early in their career post-APC. This role offers the opportunity to work within a diverse team with market-leading experience in strategic management of large portfolios, including strategy work, valuations, property disposals (ranging from £100k to £100m UK-wide), and progressing planning applications for optimal use prior to sale or development (residential and commercial), including direct development. The role also involves supporting their sister company in JV projects with major housebuilders.Your new roleThey are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work alongside the Senior Commercial Manager (SCM). Key responsibilities include:Supporting the SCM with all commercial activities across development and disposal projects.Managing external consultants for tender exercises related to strip out/demolition projects.Tendering for technical consultants and managing their input for disposal and development projects.Contributing to viability assessments to support development and disposal decisions.Supporting the wider team in disposing of commercial property assets nationwide.Assisting in viability assessments of individual sites with technical input.Building and maintaining a database of costs and tender prices to inform assessments.Building relationships with consultants and contractors.What you''ll need to succeedA proactive, analytical mindset with a keen interest in development and disposal projects.Contractor or consultancy experience considered equally valuable.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Good understanding of JCT/NFDC contracts.Ability to interpret data and cash flows.Current knowledge of the commercial and residential property markets, including technical construction aspects.Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple streams and meet deadlines.Strong communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration.MRICS qualification is desirable.What you''ll get in returnCompetitive salary, discretionary non-contractual bonus, stakeholder pension scheme, 25 days holiday, full maternity and paternity leave, life assurance, private medical insurance, discounted dental insurance, income protection insurance, interest-free season ticket loan, electric vehicle lease, cycle to work scheme, Give As You Earn scheme, employee assistance program, support for professional memberships and CPD, wellbeing initiatives, car allowance, and more.What to do nextIf interested, click ''apply now'' to submit your CV or contact us for a confidential discussion.
