Job Title Solutions / Bid Director (Hard FM) Responsible to Sales Director Location Birmingham Parklands Office / Mobile Department 14forty Growth Overall Purpose of the Role Lead strategic bid management and solution design for large-scale Hard FM and TFM opportunities. Drive commercial strategy, compliance, and innovation to secure major contracts. Ensure integration of engineering standards (SFG20, CIBSE Guide M), lifecycle costing, and risk frameworks (Green Book). Champion best practice in bid governance (APMP) and FM standards (ISO 41001, ISO 55001). Responsibilities Leadership and bid management Own bid strategy and solution architecture for Hard FM services, ensuring technical and commercial robustness.Lead multi-disciplinary teams through APMP-based bid lifecycle (capture, proposal, negotiation).Integrate compliance with statutory maintenance (SFG20) and engineering guidance (CIBSE Guide M).Shape commercial models including lifecycle, TUPE, risk, and performance regimes.Engage with senior stakeholders and clients to influence and secure strategic wins.Embed governance and ISO 55001 asset management principles in solutions.Ensure all bids are compliant, compelling, and aligned with Compass Group''s commercial and operational objectives.Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to develop tailored, competitive proposals.
