Design Manager - Building ProjectsLocation: Hertfordshire Salary: Up to 70kAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Design Manager to lead the on-site design process at RIBA Stage 4 and 5 (Technical Design and Construction). You will manage design teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate design teams, subcontractors, and consultantsMonitor design progress against project programmes and KPIsEstablish and manage project data, workflows, and Common Data Environment (CDE)Prepare Design Management Plans (DMP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and monitor complianceManage post-contract design changes, risks, and approvalsReview and approve design documentation, drawings, reports, and certificatesChair design workshops and record outcomesEnsure coordination, buildability, and compliance of all designsAssist with technical submissions, Planning Conditions, and Building RegulationsArchive final design documentation and produce lessons learnt reportsIdeal CandidateStrong experience managing building project designs, ideally in technical fit-out or construction environmentsConfident leading design teams and liaising with subcontractorsExcellent project coordination, organisational, and communication skillsKnowledge of RIBA stages, CDM, BREEAM, and design risk management RG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
