Reed Accountancy are currently exclusively partnered with a Reading based client as they seek an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team based in the town centre.This is a great opportunity for someone with solid accounting experience across Accounts Payable and Receivable, with some exposure to month-end processes, who is looking to build on their existing experience and develop their finance career within a progressive environment.You will be working with and reporting into the Finance Manager and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function while gaining valuable exposure to month-end activities and wider accounting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with month-end close processes including journal postings and accruals/prepaymentsSupporting balance sheet reconciliationsProcessing purchase invoices and supplier paymentsRaising sales invoices and supporting credit control activitiesMaintaining accurate financial records and data entryAssisting with bank reconciliationsSupporting with financial reporting and analysis where requiredHandling supplier and internal queries in a timely mannerAssisting with audit preparation and ad hoc finance projectsTo be considered for the role, you will have experience within a Finance role with exposure to month-end activities preferred.
