Job Title: Primary Maths Catch-Up Tutor Location: Wrexham Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing About the Role Prospero Teaching is recruiting an enthusiastic Primary Maths Catch-Up Tutor to support pupils who need additional help consolidating their mathematical skills. You will deliver individualised sessions that reinforce foundational concepts, address gaps in learning and encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence in Maths. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalised Maths catch-up sessions to primary-aged pupils Support number fluency, calculations, times tables, fractions and problem-solving Identify areas requiring further development Use engaging activities and differentiated resources Monitor progress and adapt sessions to meet individual targets Promote positive learning habits and confidence Experience, Training and Qualifications QTS, PGCE or equivalent relevant teaching qualification desirable Experience working with primary-aged pupils Good understanding of primary Maths curriculum expectations Previous teaching, tutoring or intervention experience Patient, creative and able to make mathematical concepts accessible Essential Requirements Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance Two professional references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
