Trainee CAD Technician
Location: Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire
Salary: -22,000 - -25,000 + Package

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Trainee CAD Technician to join the team, supporting senior designers across multiple projects. The role offers structured development and hands-on exposure to CAD design, technical detailing, and project coordination, making it ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in technical design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing and updating CAD drawings accurately and in line with project requirements
• Supporting senior staff with 2D and 3D design coordination
• Assisting in preparing technical drawings, schedules, and documentation for clients and contractors
• Reviewing designs for errors, omissions, or buildability issues
• Liaising with internal teams, consultants, and suppliers to progress design tasks

Person Specification:

• Working towards or recently completed a HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or related discipline
• Basic CAD skills (AutoCAD essential, Revit advantageous)
• Understanding of construction principles and strong attention to detail
• Confident communication and a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Enthusiasm to learn and develop within a technical design environment
