Mechanical Fitter Wanted!  
Location: Leicester | Full Time
Salary: £32K (£49K OTE including overtime) | On Site

We’re working with a market-leading manufacturer based in Leicester, specialising in heavy plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be building large-scale machinery from the ground up — ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and being part of a solid engineering environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Building and assembling plant machinery from scratch
• Working from detailed engineering drawings
• Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment
• Supporting with installation and fitting of mechanical components
• Working as part of a skilled shop floor team

Requirements

• Engineering or mechanical background
• Experience building or assembling machinery/equipment
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Confident using hand tools
• Comfortable in a physical, hands-on role
• Happy working in a workshop and occasionally outdoors in the elements
