Community Safety Officer PO3 - £43,545 - £52,767 Fixed term until 31 March 2027 or Secondment Full Time (36 hours per week) Wandsworth Town Hall, 98 Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PP Advanced DBS required; Strong knowledge of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) essential Objective of Role You will lead and coordinate community safety initiatives within Wandsworth, working strategically with partners to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, and improve community cohesion. Your role supports the objectives of the Safer and Stronger Communities Team, focusing on prevention, partnership working, and problem-solving to make communities safer.The Service works on key themes including Serious Violence, Offender Management, Anti-Social Behaviour, Neighbourhoods, Domestic Abuse, Prevent and Radicalisation and Hate Crime. The Community Safety Officer role is non-uniformed and predominantly non-enforcement as it is a strategic and partnership role which sits within the Community Safety Service and reports directly into the Community Safety Partnership Board. About the Role You will: Coordinate key crime prevention work in line with the local community safety plans for Richmond and Wandsworth which may involve community engagement events and commissioning of projects to meet gaps in services within your area.
