With over 30 years heavy civil engineering and infrastructure experience, our client offers an integrated project delivery solution for their clients within the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Due to the new project wins, our client requires a Quantity Surveyor for a long-term contract, from a civil engineering and infrastructure background, with self-delivery project experience.

Freelance Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for commercial administration of either a larger stand alone project or portfolio of smaller civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for:

• Day to day commercial administration of civils packages.
• Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
• Monitoring, forecasting and reporting on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR''s.
• Reviewing payment applications and agreeing monthly payment valuations.
• Agreeing instructions, change and processing variations.
• Undertaking Take-off''s and Remeasurements as required.
• Managing Change, Variation and Dispute Resolution.
• Attending client and project progress meetings.
• Agreeing Final Accounts.

Freelance Quantity Surveyor requirements:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar qualification and relevant experience.
• 4+ years'' experience working on Civil Engineering projects, including take-off''s and remeasurements.
• Subcontractor or self-delivery experience an advantage.
• NEC contract experience.
• Self-sufficient, able to manage projects from start through to Final Accounts.
• Experience identifying and managing Change and Variations.
• Happy to be office / site based.
