This is a temporary position offering the opportunity to contribute to the high standards of healthcare services on the Isle of Man. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic testing in microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, and parasitology. Process specimens and analyse results in a laboratory setting. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring high levels of safety and quality control. Participate in the identification of microbial pathogens and provide relevant reports. Ensure all laboratory practices comply with safety regulations and quality assurance standards. Work collaboratively with clinical teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of test results. Maintain accurate records of all laboratory work, adhering to data protection and confidentiality guidelines. Special Requirements: HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist. IBMS Specialist Diploma in Medical Microbiology. Recent UK experience in microbiology or a related field. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
