Repairs Officer North Northamptonshire Council3-Month Initial Contract37 Hours Per WeekInside IR35North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Repairs Officer to support the delivery of a responsive repairs and maintenance service across its housing portfolio.Working within the Repairs and Maintenance Team, you will oversee day-to-day repairs operations, supervise trades operatives and contractors, carry out pre and post inspections, and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory requirements. You will play a key role in managing performance, maintaining compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities Manage responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance, and compliance-related works.Supervise in-house trades teams and external contractors.Undertake pre and post inspections and maintain accurate records.Prepare specifications, reports, and tender documentation.Monitor contractor performance, budgets, and service delivery.Ensure compliance with health and safety, asbestos, gas, electrical, and environmental legislation.Support staff management, development, and performance monitoring.
