We are seeking a new Trustee with senior leadership experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector to help shape the strategic direction, governance and long-term stability of the Helen Bamber Foundation. The successful candidate will bring expertise in areas such as strategy, governance, financial management, fundraising, risk and organisational development, while supporting the Foundation''s mission to ensure survivors of trafficking, torture and extreme human cruelty have safety, freedom and power. Overview: As a trustee, you will share overall responsibility for the governance and strategic direction of the charity, while bringing particular expertise as a senior charity leader. You will be able to contribute in the following areas: • Strategy development: shaping and setting long-term strategic direction. • Charity governance: a strong understanding of good governance practice and trustee responsibilities. • Strategy delivery: translating strategy into deliverable plans, including: putting in place the governance structures needed to support delivery building the people and culture required to achieve strategic goals high-level financial management aligned to strategy, including fundraising identifying and managing risk monitoring, evaluating and ongoing learning of strategic effectiness.
