So our client is flexible on this. Job Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Yard Manager with strong mechanical experience to oversee the day-to-day operations of the yard. Your job will be to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced. This role is ideal for someone with a background in mechanics who can manage inventory, organise logistics, and perform or oversee routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Manage the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the yard and work areas. Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company equipment (e.g., trucks, trailers, generators, small and large Agriculture machines). Schedule and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to reduce equipment downtime. Maintain accurate records of service and repair history for all assets. Coordinate with outside vendors for specialised repairs or part procurement when needed. Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, deliveries, and shipments. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with loading and unloading of materials when necessary.
