Our Alternative Provision (AP) in Burnley is looking for a specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team.In this unique role, you will act as a Speech and Language Therapist Teacher, embedding communication strategies directly into the curriculum. You will work with young people in Burnley who have complex SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, many of whom have unidentified speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrated Therapy: Deliver 1:1 and small group therapy sessions that feel like "active learning" rather than "clinical intervention."Teacher Collaboration: Upskill our teaching staff in "Communication Friendly" classroom strategies and scaffolded language techniques.Assessment and EHCPs: Conduct formal assessments and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for our Burnley pupils.Alternative Provision (AP) Specialist: Adapt your clinical expertise to suit a non-traditional educational setting where building trust is the first step to progress.What We Are Looking ForW
