We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join an established and busy engineering and steel fabrication business.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabrication professional who has the technical knowledge and leadership skills to supervise a workshop team, coordinate daily production activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.The successful candidate will have a strong background in mild steel fabrication and welding, together with experience supervising fabricators, welders and apprentices within a workshop environment.The Role Working closely with the management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of workshop activities, ensuring workloads are organised, production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.Key responsibilities will include: Supervising and coordinating daily workshop activities and production workloads. Allocating tasks to fabricators, welders, machine operators and apprentices. Monitoring production progress and ensuring project deadlines are achieved. Ensuring fabrication work is completed in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Carrying out dimensional checks and visual quality inspections.
