A Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is required in Greater London to oversee the maintenance and reliability of specialist ventilation, smoke extraction and mechanical systems within a safety-critical infrastructure environment. This hands-on supervisory role combines leading a team of five mechanical engineers with technical maintenance, fault-finding and planned testing. You''ll play a key role in ensuring essential systems remain safe, compliant and operational. The Role As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you''ll: Lead, supervise and support a team of five mechanical maintenance engineers. Carry out hands-on maintenance, testing and fault-finding approximately two days per week. Oversee planned and reactive maintenance of ventilation, smoke extraction and HVAC systems. Coordinate smoke control testing, defect resolution and equipment recovery. Plan and allocate maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Manage specialist subcontractors and ensure compliance with permit-to-work and safety procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using a CMMS.
