YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Catering Assistant, youandrsquo;ll play an important role in helping the kitchen team deliver a smooth and efficient food service to pupils and school staff.

Typical duties will include:

• 
  

  Helping with basic food preparation

• 
  

  Serving food during breakfast or lunchtime services, where required

• 
  

  Assisting the kitchen team during busy periods

• 
  

  Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment

• 
  

  Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and service areas

• 
  

  Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety guidelines

• 
  

  Helping ensure the kitchen runs efficiently throughout the day

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR£

Weandrsquo;re keen to hear from candidates who are organised, punctual and have a positive approach to work.

You will need:

• 
  

  An Enhanced DBS check, which is required for school-based assignments

• 
  

  Two references

• 
  

  Food Safety Level 2 certification, or a willingness to obtain it

• 
  

  Food Allergen Awareness certification, or a willingness to obtain it

• 
  

  A reliable and hardworking attitude

• 
  

  The ability to work well within a team

Previous experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Kitchen Porter is beneficial but not essential.
