Consultant/Senior Consultant: Dispute Intelligence

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to be part of a team conducting disputes intelligence and litigation and arbitration support across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The successful candidate will be a seasoned intelligence practitioner with the ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and develop creative approaches to challenging client briefs. In this role you will be able to find and analyse both open source and human source intelligence in the context of disputes-driven investigations – including asset tracing, conducting counterparty intelligence and evidence-gathering – and will have excellent written and spoken communication skills. You should be a proactive and diligent team player, able to work with colleagues across all our offices, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Investigative case managementConducting a range of dispute and litigation support investigations, including asset tracing and recovery, skip tracing, counterparty intelligence, evidence gathering, informing clients’ legal and stakeholder engagement strategies.Completing projects from initial client request to proposal drafting, investigative research, analysis and write-up of findings.Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that we deliver solutions tailored to those needs.Managing and directing sources and subcontractors, and developing our human source capabilities by managing relationships in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.Training and mentoring colleagues on dispute support work.Ensuring the delivery of projects on budget, scope and deadline.Briefing and presenting findings to internal and external clients.
Business and practice developmentManaging practice knowledge and seeking opportunities to improve our current methodologies, including through the application of new technology and new sources.Supporting senior staff to develop marketing materials and produce thought leadership.
ExperienceEssentialExperience of conducting and managing complex intelligence-led investigations for clients engaged in disputes.Expert knowledge of open-source research tools across multiple jurisdictionsNetwork of source relationships and the ability to deploy source intelligence effectively in support of litigation/arbitration, and to manage research subcontractors.History of successful client engagement, including pitching work, presentation of findings, and attendance of networking events.Good understanding of dispute, litigation and arbitration (commercial and sovereign), and the role of intelligence practitioners and investigators in these proceedings.Ability to work independently and within a team.
