The role includes inspections, investigations, and providing expert advice to promote a fair, safe, and compliant trading environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct investigations, inspections, and test purchases to ensure compliance with Trading Standards legislation. Advise consumers and businesses on their legal rights, obligations, and compliance requirements. Gather, record, and present evidence in line with statutory requirements; attend court or hearings when necessary. Work in partnership with other enforcement agencies such as the Police and HMRC. Lead and support projects and initiatives focused on consumer protection, business compliance, and scam prevention. Maintain accurate case records, reports, and data on relevant systems.
