Our client, a global Aerospace systems manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) to join their dynamic engineering team based in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of innovative electrical and mechanical products that support cutting-edge aerospace applications. You ll be responsible for leading new product development projects from concept through to delivery ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you ll bring together technical design expertise, project management capability, and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-precision environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support engineering development projects in line with company strategy and customer requirements. Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities using structured engineering processes. Define project objectives, create detailed project plans, and manage work packages to deliver key milestones. Produce and maintain technical documentation, project dashboards, and progress reports. Design and develop mechanical and electrical components using CATIA or similar CAD tools. Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and implement corrective actions. Apply design for manufacture, design to cost, and design for inspection principles.
