Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join the furniture department of a leading national retailer''s distribution centre in Armthorpe, Doncaster (DN3).

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity offering regular shifts, enhanced overtime rates, full training and long-term prospects within a modern warehouse environment.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for handling furniture products and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy distribution centre. Duties include:

• Moving sofas from pallets to designated workstations
• Applying protective caps to sofa corners and edges
• Bagging and sealing furniture ready for dispatch
• Palletising completed products
• Loading and unloading household goods from trailers
• Handling bulky items safely and efficiently
• Supporting general distribution and logistics activities
• Maintaining quality and health & safety standards

This Warehouse Operative position involves manual handling and regular heavy lifting, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy physical work and being part of a team-focused environment.

Hours & Shifts

• 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Choose from Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday Week 2: Sunday to Tuesday
• OR Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday Week 2: Thursday to Saturday
• Rotating weekly pattern
• Overtime available

Pay

• -12.99 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (-19.49 per hour)
• Weekly pay

We would like to hear from candidates who have:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Loader, Order Picker, Packer or Logistics Operative, although this is not essential
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• A good level of fitness due to the physical nature of the role
• Safety footwear for site
