What''s the role all about?

You''ll lead the woven dresses and tops category, setting the direction for your department and bringing together creative vision, trend awareness and strong commercial instincts to deliver an exceptional product range.

Working closely with Design and Merchandising, you''ll have the freedom to challenge convention, push new ideas and create collections that feel fresh, relevant and right for the customer, while ensuring every decision contributes to sales, margin and profitability.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Setting the trend agenda: Identifying the latest catwalk, street-style and influencer trends and translating them into exciting, wearable and commercially relevant dresses and tops.
• Shaping the seasonal vision: Leading range planning, product direction, colour palettes, silhouettes, price architecture and critical paths to create collections with real personality.
• Driving commercial success: Taking ownership of your department''s business plan, profit performance and margin targets, making smart strategic decisions that maximise sales and minimise markdowns.
• Keeping one step ahead: Constantly looking for new opportunities, fresh product ideas and ways to evolve the range, with the confidence to champion newness and influence senior stakeholders.
• Making the numbers work: Partnering with Merchandising to review trade, manage open-to-buy and react quickly to performance, spotting opportunities to repeat, refresh or rethink product.
• Building brilliant supplier partnerships: Leading negotiations, developing sourcing strategies and working with suppliers to deliver the right product, quality, cost and timing.
• Influencing beyond your category: Bringing fresh thinking to the wider brand, sharing market insights and identifying opportunities to improve product, processes and overall business performance.
• Leading and developing your team: Inspiring, coaching and mentoring your Buying team, helping them grow while creating a collaborative, ambitious and high-performing environment.
• Stepping up when it counts: Deputising for the Buying Manager or Head of Brand, representing your department and helping shape wider business decisions.

What are we looking for?

You''ll be an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong womenswear background and a proven track record in this product area - dresses and woven tops. You''ll understand what makes a collection stand out, how to connect with the customer and, crucially, how to turn great product into great business results.

You''ll bring:

• A genuine passion for womenswear, with a brilliant eye for trends, product, fabric, colour and detail.
• Strong category expertise across woven dresses and tops, with the confidence to shape and evolve a seasonal range.
• The commercial acumen to manage significant sales, margin and profit targets, balancing creativity with a sharp focus on performance.
• Proven experience in strategic range planning, supplier negotiations and sourcing.
• The ability to interpret market trends and customer behaviour, translating insight into product that feels fresh and relevant.
• Experience leading and developing a team, with the ability to motivate, challenge and bring out the best in others.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across Buying, Design and Merchandising.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the agility to react to a fast-moving trading environment.
• The ambition to challenge the status quo, push boundaries and make a real difference to the business.
