Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Cheltenham, 3 days per week onsiteRates: 53.10 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35Duration: 12-month contractSecurity Clearance: Applicants must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance, however can start on BPSS.Job Role:Working closely with Engineering, Configuration Management and Programme teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Ensuring technical documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with customer, regulatory, and programme requirements Review, update, and maintain engineering drawing packs and associated technical documentation. Create and amend Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, installation drawings, and supporting technical documents as required. The candidate will require good working knowledge of Creo CAD software. Competency in Solidworks, Catia and NX would also be beneficial. Strong Microsoft Word/document management skills to support document formatting, branding updates, and content amendments. Support document release activities through established PLM systems and document control processes. Working knowledge of TeamCenter would be advantageous. Experience working within engineering configuration and document control processes. Experience with aircraft safety critical products and document release processes would be beneficial.
