The IT Support Engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will coordinate the 1st Line technical support tasks, as required. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, Printers, Barcode Scanners, and general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.Responsibilities
Reporting to Service Desk Manager re issue status / updates.Working with L1 Tech support to ensure all tickets / issues raised resolved or escalated.Diagnosing and resolving end user support issues including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, printers etc.Setting up and configuring of new laptops and desktops including installation of authorised softwareNetwork patching work including any user office movements involving computer hardware and phonesSupporting warehouse printers and scan guns at a technical level as well as maintaining consumable stocksEnsuring all user equipment is logged and documented as well as software licensing and IT DocumentationManaging backups including Backup to Disk and Backup to TapeEnsuring desktops and laptops are fully up to date especially critical security updatesMaintenance of user email accounts and domain accounts in Office 365 and Active Directory inc. setting up new users and removing users that have left the companyManagement and Support of telephony solution.Experience in VMWare – Server setup and maintenanceCoordinate with 3rd party support partners as required to resolve issues.Assist in coordination of licensing renewals and procurement as requiredBe involved in rollout of new solutions / technology as required.Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX (user setup and roles) an advantage.Experience
