Your new company You will be joining a growing international engineering and contracting business delivering projects across data centres, power and energy, life sciences, industrial, commercial and renewable energy sectors. With expertise across electrical, mechanical and civil engineering, they deliver complex projects throughout the UK, Europe and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an MandE Estimator / Buyer to strengthen their commercial team.Your new role Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will support the estimating and procurement function across a range of projects from initial tender stage through to procurement and project delivery. Key responsibilities will include:Completing quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and tender informationPreparing bills of quantities and pricing schedulesIssuing enquiries to suppliers and subcontractorsObtaining, reviewing and comparing quotationsIdentifying scope gaps, exclusions and commercial risksAssisting with estimates, tender submissions and commercial clarificationsSupporting subcontractor selection, negotiation and procurementProcuring electrical materials and equipment, alongside mechanical and civil packagesPreparing purchase orders and subcontract documentationLiaising with suppliers and subcontractors regarding pricing, availability and lead timesWorking closely with project teams to ensure procurement aligns with specification, budget and programmeIdentifying ..... full job details .....
