We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading property maintenance and social housing provider for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join an operational team overseeing some of the organisation’s contract within dartford

The team is responsible for supporting high-priority contracts, peak demand, new contract mobilisations and complex operational challenges. This is a varied role where you will work across different properties and contracts, adapting to different environments while delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance for residents.

You will carry out a range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance works across occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, decorating and basic flooring
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible
• Undertaking responsive repairs, void works and remedial maintenance
• Working safely in line with risk assessments, method statements and company procedures
• Recording job details, materials and completion notes using handheld devices/job management systems
• Liaising professionally with residents and reporting any access issues, safeguarding concerns or additional works
• Maintaining tools, equipment and van stock
• Identifying and escalating complex or specialist repairs where required
• Working alongside other trades to support the successful delivery of contracts
• Adapting quickly to different properties, clients, systems and working environments

We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a strong background in property maintenance.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience carrying out multi-trade repairs within domestic or social housing environments
• Experience working on responsive repairs, voids or occupied properties
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades
• The ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Experience using handheld devices or job management systems
• Good understanding of health & safety, manual handling and asbestos awareness
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
• A relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience

• Up to £40,660 salary, depending on experience
