HGV Class 1 Driver - Bilston, West Midlands People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bilston, West Midlands. Shifts • Monday to Friday• 06:00 start times Rates of Pay • £16.00 per hour (basic) Benefits Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include: • Ongoing work - temp to perm opportunity• Weekly pay• Immediate starts available• Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Carrying out trunking work• Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently• Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues• Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence• Minimum of 12 months'' experience driving CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good level of spoken and written English• Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills• Strong understanding of road safety
