Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Cambridgeshire Rate: Up to 350 per day Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Start Date: Immediate Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Site Engineer to join a well-established contractor on a key project in Cambridgeshire. The role will involve setting out and quality control for a residential development, including groundworks, infrastructure, and structural packages. Key Responsibilities: Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and superstructure works. Ensuring works are completed to design, specification, and programme. Maintaining accurate site records, QA checks, and as-built drawings. Working closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery. Assisting in resolving technical issues on site and liaising with design teams where required. Requirements: Minimum 3 years'' experience as a Site Engineer in the construction sector. Proven experience working on residential projects (essential). Proficient in use of robotic total stations and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles. CSCS card (essential); SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable). Own laptop with AutoCAD and engineering equipment preferred but not essential. Benefits: Competitive day rate up to 350 (depending on experience).
