Responsibilities As a Groundworker/Drainage Operative, your key responsibilities will include:

• Digging trenches up to 1.5 meters deep.
• Performing drainage tasks and ducting for 225mm EVI charge points.
• Installing curbs and preparing areas for grassing.
• Operating a dumper as required.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• CSCS Card (preferred).
• CPCS or NPORS certification (advantageous).
• Proven experience in groundwork, drainage, and ducting.
• Ability to operate a dumper confidently and safely.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks.
• A proactive and team-oriented attitude.

Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:

• Starting with a safety briefing and task allocation.
• Digging trenches and preparing the site for drainage and ducting work.
• Installing curbs and completing grassing tasks as required.
• Operating a dumper to transport materials and assist with site operations.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
