Early Help / Family Help Experienced Social Worker Children s Services Location: Children s Centre / Community Based Rate: £36 per hour LTD Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Locum Driving Licence and Access to Vehicle: Essential Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Children s Services team delivering Early Help / Family Help support to children, young people and their families. The successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, working directly with families to assess needs, manage risk and support positive, sustainable outcomes. This is a community-based role, involving work across the local area, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied and complex caseload appropriate to experience, with appropriate supervision and support. Undertake high-quality assessments, care planning and reviews, ensuring practice is evidence-based and child-focused. Identify, assess and manage risk and need, ensuring the safety and welfare of children and young people remains central to all practice. Undertake direct work with children, young people and families to reduce risk, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes. Provide qualified and registered social work in accordance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, local policies and procedures.
