Support Worker
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate care and daily living support to service users in their homes or supported living environments.Support individuals with personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation as required.Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing through meaningful engagement.Follow individual support plans and risk assessments accurately.Maintain accurate and timely records of all care delivered.Uphold safeguarding principles and report concerns in line with policy.Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive manner.Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure continuity of care. Essential Training and QualificationsCandidates must hold or have completed training in:Care CertificateMoving and Handling - Practical and Theory (not online)Medicine Administration - minimum Level 2Safeguarding AdultsInfection Prevention and ControlInformation Governance, Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Quality and Diversity, Dignity and RespectMCA/DoLSFirst AidFood HygieneFood Safety and NutritionManaging Challenging BehavioursMAYBO (for specialist services) - desirable RequirementsProven experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or issued within the last 12 months).Right to work in the UK.Flexibility and reliability to cover shifts at short notice.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
