Teaching Assistant (Primary School) - Ramsbottom

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school located in the Ramsbottom area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start available, offering a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 within a supportive and engaging school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to help deliver high-quality learning experiences, support pupil progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and is eager to make a real difference in the classroom on a daily basis.

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost attainment
• Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
• Providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs where required
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress when appropriate
• Supporting the overall pastoral and academic development of pupils

• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for working in primary education
• Relevant TA qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not mandatory
