We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global technology company best known for designing high quality products used in military, law enforcement and rescue applications. This is a brand new position on this site giving you the opportunity to make the role your own and create a real impact!Responsibilities
Lead the design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing productsDrive the seamless transition of new products from prototype to full-scale manufacturingPartner with New Product Development (NPD) to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) during developmentCreate and maintain SAP routings to accurately reflect production processes and ensure efficient ERP integrationOptimise production workflows, layouts and equipment usage to reduce waste and improve throughputProduction jig and fixture design for ease of manufacturability within productionDevelop and maintain work instructions, process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP''s)Investigate/source modern and innovative materials and equipmentAnalyse costs and deliver solutions that improve both performance and profitabilityRequirements
Qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree)Min 7+ years of experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environmentHands-on approach and a deep understanding of production processes and industrial equipmentKnowledge of Six Sigma, Lean ManufacturingExperience of Jig and Fixture design and DFMEA processStrong communicator and team player, capable of leading cross-functional projectsUK Driving License and valid passport for occasional travel between UK and U/SBenefits
