Design Manager - Chandler''s Ford / SouthamptonAbout this Role:Experienced Design Manager required by the Chandler''s Ford office of this major Tier One contractor, offering the opportunity to join a large regional business and manage design from preconstruction through construction delivery.The initial project is an 18m defence scheme at Thorney Island, near Portsmouth, comprising a mix of new-build and refurbishment works including a two-storey office block, new armoury, gym and changing facilities, together with associated external works.The scheme has been progressing through preconstruction and is due to start on site in January, followed by an approximately 18-month construction programme.Working within a live operational environment, you will manage the design through the remaining preconstruction phase and into delivery, coordinating consultants, subcontractor design and the wider construction team. .
