Senior Storage Engineer 6 months initially London - Hybrid 650 per day inside IR35 - Umbrella only Active SC security cleared and eligible candidates will be consideredResponsibilities:Operate and maintain IBM FlashSystem storage platforms, including provisioning, monitoring, and routine administration.Build and manage Brocade SAN fabrics, including zoning, switch configuration, and integration with storage and tape systems.Configure and support IBM tape libraries (TS-series) and ensure integration with backup environments such as IBM Storage Protect.Validate racking, cabling, and patching of storage arrays, SAN switches, and tape devices through hands-on inspection and verification.Perform firmware/code upgrades for FlashSystem arrays, Brocade switches, and tape infrastructure.Use RHEL 9 system administration skills for host connectivity, multipathing, and troubleshooting.Develop and maintain Ansible automation playbooks for deployment and configuration tasks.Provide basic container management (Docker/Podman) for running and troubleshooting containers (no Kubernetes).Troubleshoot storage, SAN, tape, hardware, and container-related incidents; maintain clear and accurate documentation.Collaborate with infrastructure teams and participate in on-call rotation.
