Looking for a Maintenance Engineering role where you can genuinely develop?
We''re looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a specialist aerospace manufacturing business in Nottinghamshire
You''ll be joining a highly technical engineering team supporting specialist machinery and equipment used in the manufacture for global aerospace companies
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
The Role
Working as part of the maintenance team, you''ll be responsible for keeping a highly specialised manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) using Idhammar CMMS
- Reactive and breakdown maintenance
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Engineering improvement projects
- Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement

- Supporting specialist equipment including robotics, CNC machinery, vacuum processors, heat treatment equipment and coating systems
- Working with servo motors, HMI panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, rollers, sensors, switches, relays, motors and control panels
- Carrying out basic electrical work where required, regardless of your primary engineering bias
- Following strict Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) and safe-working procedures
This is a genuinely multi-skilled role. If you''re mechanically biased, you''ll need to be comfortable carrying out basic electrical tasks, and vice versa.
What We''re Looking For
We''re open to engineers from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds, but you''ll ideally have:
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- A recognised engineering qualification
- A multi-skilled engineering background
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Experience with both mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Knowledge of LOTO and electrical safe working practices
- A proactive, self-starting attitude
- The ability to work independently without needing to be constantly supervised
Training & Progression
The business has a strong training culture and significant investment in engineering development.
- You''ll have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge across a broad range of equipment.
- With internal and external opportunities to grow technically, also have opportunities to move within the engineering team, moving into a technical hands on position or alternatively move into man management depending on your preference
There is also a genuine opportunity to progress internally. The business prefers to develop and promote from within, with progression based on ambition, ability and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
What''s On Offer?
- An annual salary of £50,000 - £53,000
- 3 on / 3 off, 12-hour shifts
- Days and nights
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
