DATA CENTRE EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Blyth, United Kingdom Employment Type: Full-time Working Arrangement: On-site Sector: Data Centres / Major Construction Projects About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the project team on a major data centre development in Blyth, UK. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will take responsibility for the technical delivery and coordination of mechanical works, working closely with the MEP Lead, client, contractors and wider project team to ensure a fully integrated and high-quality solution. This is a site-based senior role involving technical coordination, subcontractor management, commissioning, installation and project delivery through to final handover. Key Responsibilities Manage relevant client communications and attend client meetings. Lead and coordinate a team of Mechanical Package Managers. Oversee the technical submittal and RFI process. Develop, review and coordinate commissioning scripts for mechanical assets and systems. Coordinate mechanical works with Electrical and CSA contractors to ensure all services are fully integrated. Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments for construction activities. Coordinate and sequence mechanical installation activities, including pipework, to meet project programme requirements.
