CNC Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Sawmill Supply Team Leader to join our prestigious client in South Petherton, Somerset - oak timber manufacturer. Location: Lopen, near South Petherton, Somerset Reports to: Mid-Management Department: Sawmill Operations Type: Full-Time/Permanent Hours: 7:00am 4:00pm (Monday to Friday, with two 30-minute breaks) Salary: £29,000 £33,250 per annum (depending on experience) The Role The Sawmill Supply Team Leader will be responsible for managing the flow of timber from our stock to the sawmill, ensuring the sawyers are supplied with the correct materials to meet production schedules efficiently and effectively. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, solid timber knowledge, and the confidence to make informed decisions about stock selection and usage. The Team Leader will need to ensure that sawyers follow instructions and make the best use of the timber provided, even when the material is challenging to work with. You will oversee a small team (4 in the sawmill and 1 in the picking and packing department) and play a crucial part in ensuring our sawmill runs smoothly and profitably.
