CNC Turning Setter/Operator (Temporary) Luton £19.43 per hour This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who can confidently set and operate CNC turning machines, producing high-quality components in a busy precision engineering environment. CNC Turning Setter/Operator Key Responsibilities Setting and operating Doosan Puma 4100B CNC lathes fitted with Fanuc controls Running existing CNC programmes and making minor adjustments, primarily to offsets Machining repeat production components, predominantly steel, approximately 200-300mm in diameter Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards Maintaining consistent production quality and working independently CNC Turning Setter/Operator Requirements Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines Experience using Fanuc controls Ability to make minor programme adjustments and manage offsets Confident reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment Good understanding of quality control and in-process inspection Able to work independently with minimal supervision CNC Turning Setter/Operator Working Hours 45 hours per week Factory operating hours: 6:00am-6:00pm Overtime available, including Saturday mornings Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
