Location: Dudley, West Midlands (Hybrid - 3 days in office, flexible)
Salary: -38 per hour (Umbrella)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time considered (minimum 3 full days per week)

About the Role:
Dudley Council is seeking an experienced Children''s Safeguarding Social Worker to join their dynamic team, supporting children and families across the borough. This role offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility while ensuring strong team collaboration.

You will be responsible for supporting children with Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), or Children in Care (CiC) plans, including teenagers who are on the edge of care or at risk of exploitation. Caseloads typically range from 18-25 children, allowing for meaningful, impactful practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 18-25 children with CIN, CP, or CiC plans.
  • Work closely with teenagers at risk of exploitation or on the edge of care.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and safeguard children''s welfare.
  • Engage with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Dudley Council policies and statutory guidance.

Working Pattern & Flexibility:

  • Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office; Social Workers can choose which days.
  • Part-time options available: minimum 3 full days per week.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent)
  • HCPC registered
  • Experience in Children''s Safeguarding, particularly with CIN, CP, or CiC cases
  • Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks, safeguarding procedures, and risk management
