Health and Safety Assistant (Part-Time, 12-Month FTC)London£65-£70,000Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Assistant to join their team on a part-time, 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will ideally be available to start immediately.Key Responsibilities:Manage all health and safety activities across the firm, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and best practice.Develop a thorough understanding of the firm''s health and safety policies and procedures.Record and investigate incidents and accidents, producing monthly reports and statistics for senior management.Work closely with internal teams to coordinate and manage contractors on site.Review and update risk assessments, carrying out new assessments where required and providing practical advice to minimise risks.Ensure all contractors adhere to the firm''s health and safety policies and procedures.Conduct Display Screen Equipment assessments.Maintain and continuously improve fire safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and visitors.Coordinate and organise training for first aiders and fire marshals, delivering training sessions where required.Manage the central health and safety inbox, responding to queries and requests across the firm.About You:Previous experience in a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.Strong working knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation.Excellent communication and ..... full job details .....
