Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards across facilities and environmental services.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
• Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Maintain up-to-date records of health and safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Person Specification

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, preferably within facilities and environmental services.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in health and safety management.
