Role: Network and Firewall SpecialistSalary/Rate: £40-44 per hr inside IR35Location: AldermastonContract Duration: 12-months We are currently looking for a Network and Firewall Specialist for our government client. This Network and Firewall Specialist role is based on site in Aldermaston 5 days per week. There is no flexibility with the on-site requirement. There may also be some travel to other sites requiring overnight arrangements, and occasional evening and weekend work where exceptional circumstances require it. This role is part of an on-call rota. The contract for the Network and Firewall Specialist position is for 12-months, with potential to extend, operating inside IR35. Security Clearance: Developed Vetting ("DV Clearance") + sole UK national This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution. Essential skills/experience required: Juniper experienceExperience installing switches and firewallsTechnical backgroundGood understanding of network fundamentals and troubleshootingGood experience of configuring / policy configuration / troubleshooting Juniper firewalls, switches and routersKnowledge of some of the following: WAN/LAN design, device clustering, high availabilityJunos Space, Security Director, ApstraSecurity Platforms: FortiGate, F5 BIG-IP (load balancing / AWAF), Pulse Secure / Ivanti, high grade encryptionIdentity and Access Management: Cisco ISE (full lifecycle), Windows NPS (RADIUS / 802.1X)Monitoring
