Our busy catering operation at Newport Wetlands Reserve is looking for a Centre Assistant to join our Food and Beverage team. We are looking for an individual who is able to deliver the highest standards and customer care and assist with the day-to-day running of the café operation, in line with set RSPB procedures and routines. Newport Wetlands is a special area for wildlife, lying between the Severn estuary and the river Usk. It is one of the most important areas of wetland habitat in Wales, providing a haven for wildlife on the edge of the city and is a popular visitor attraction. The RSPB manage the visitor facilities which includes the café with lovely reserve views. Our work in the café and visitor centre is planned via the use of rotas and will include weekend and bank holiday working. Full induction and training will be provided, with opportunities to learn about the running of a busy café, visitor centre and nature reserve operation.
