We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a long-term commercial project in Birmingham.This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced Electrical Supervisor looking for consistent, long-term work on a major commercial project, with the potential for ongoing opportunities and the chance to become part of an established site team.

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day electrical installation activities on site, coordinating electricians and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising daily electrical installation works on site.
• Managing and coordinating electricians and electrical subcontractors.
• Allocating daily tasks and monitoring workforce productivity.
• Ensuring electrical installations are completed in line with drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring progress and reporting updates to the Electrical Site Manager.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring high installation standards.
• Ensuring all operatives comply with health and safety procedures.
• Coordinating electrical works with other trades and site teams.
• Identifying and resolving day-to-day site issues.
• Ensuring materials, tools and equipment are available when required.
• Attending site briefings and toolbox talks.
• Supporting inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory position.
• Strong background in commercial electrical installations.
• Proven experience supervising electricians and subcontractors.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• ECS Gold Card or relevant industry certification.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings and installation specifications.
• Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Experience working on large commercial projects, office fit-outs or refurbishment projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage site activities and meet project deadlines.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Experience working on CAT A/CAT B commercial fit-outs.
• Experience with containment, cable installation, distribution, lighting and small power.
• First Aid qualification.
