The role involves working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 and is ideal for individuals who are confident, organised, and passionate about supporting young people.You will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the work set.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise classes and ensure work set by the teacher is completed to a high standardMaintain a calm, focused classroom environment in line with school behaviour policiesManage student behaviour effectively and promote positive engagementProvide feedback on student progress, behaviour, and engagementDistribute resources and support students where appropriateUndertake additional duties to support the smooth running of the schoolUphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all timesPerson SpecificationMinimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and MathematicsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence delivering instructions across a range of subjectsAbility to manage classroom behaviour and motivate learnersPositive, flexible approach and commitment to supporting young people
