with a background in exceptional food catering services to join us at one of our highly prestigious education settings. This prestigious independent school caters for 450 day pupils and 90 staff during the 5 days a week. You will be managing a team of 9 and would be creative, working within a budget, great at leading a team, engaging with the pupils and key stakeholders within the business.If you are passionate about creating delicious dining experiences that fuel young minds and ignite taste buds, then this is the perfect opportunity to bring your expertise to our table.

Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee food preparation and meal service for the prep school and nurseryEnsure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety are maintainedPlan and develop menus that meet the needs of students and staffManage stock control and order supplies as neededControl food budgets and ensure cost-effective operationsEnsure meals are nutritious, balanced, and cater to dietary requirementsMonitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisationMaintain a positive, collaborative working environment within the kitchen team

Qualifications

Level 3 Culinary Qualification (or equivalent)Proven experience in catering management or similar senior chef role, ideally in a school or large-scale catering environmentStrong understanding of menu planning and nutritional requirements for young peopleExcellent knowledge of stock management and cost controlFamiliarity with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCPAbility to lead, motivate, and develop a teamExcellent communication skills and ability to work well with students, staff, and suppliersA passion for food and creating innovative, delicious dining experiencesFirst Aid and Food Hygiene Level 3 certification (desirable but not essential)
