Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and professional-Class 2 Recovery Driver-to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending breakdowns, accidents, and vehicle recovery requests, safely transporting vehicles using specialist recovery equipment. Excellent customer service skills and a calm, professional attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and accident scenes to recover vehicles safely.
• Operate-Class 2 recovery vehicles-including slide beds, spec lifts, or heavy recovery trucks.
• Load, secure, and transport vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to members of the public, breakdown customers, and insurance clients.
• Complete job reports, paperwork, and digital logs accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance of recovery equipment.
• Liaise with control rooms, police, and emergency services when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Previous experience in-vehicle recovery, towing, or roadside assistance-preferred
• Good knowledge of road safety and recovery procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging roadside environments
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends

Desirable Skills

• Previous-vehicle recovery operator certification
• Mechanical knowledge of cars and light commercial vehicles
• Experience using-slide bed or spec lift recovery equipment
